This video by YouTube user Aussie Bush Harvest was about a hunt that happened during the end of April 2013 at a large property in southern NSW.

It details a weekend of firsts for 3 friends: Johno, Triso, and Profty. The first 2 had great success on their first deer hunt, while Profty, also the video owner, shot down his first fallow buck.

The first clip showed Johny, a small game hunter, shooting a doe at long range. From the video, one can see how he took his time and positioned himself well amidst the tall bushes to get a crack at hunting a doe — and succeeded in just one go.

Triso was on the next sequence. According to the video, he has been hunting and fishing for years, but a deer had always eluded him. That weekend, he wanted to hunt a doe. And although the shot of the actual hunt was cut from the video, the next scene showed that he was successful — but instead of a doe, he shot a buck.

The last sequence in this video showed Profty’s hunt on a Saturday. From the clip, it can be assumed that he has hunted a doe before, therefore the preference of shooting down a buck. He then sees an antlered animal among the bushes — a fallow deer, along with some does. Like Triso’s, his actual hunt was not shown in the video. But on the following scene, one can see the fallow deer lying on the open field. It was shot on the shoulder. Profty was very happy with his first buck kill. The video ends with the hunters getting venison from the deer.

All 3 shooters used a synthetic stock rifle for their deer hunt. Profty, in particular, used a 700 Remington SPS in 7mm-08. The firearm used seemed to be a good choice, as it effectively put down their target.
