He is in an open space with sand and trees behind, where he placed the phonebook cradled between a crevice in the sand dunes for safety.
He then aimed and took a shot. The young man walked over to check the shot and in the next scene he was showing the phonebooks one by one.
In the first phone book you can see that the entry point was small you can bare fit a finger in it. He showed the back showing a bigger exit hole. In the next phonebook, the entry point was bigger, so was the exit point.
In the third phonebook you can clearly see a bigger entry and exit point where the young man was able to poke his fingers through easily. There was also fragments of the bullet in the third phonebook.[/cs_text][x_blockquote cite=”” type=”left”]”In the first phone book you can see that the entry point was small you can bare fit a finger in it.”[/x_blockquote][cs_text]The bullet stopped in the fourth phonebook, where it almost penetrated as there was damage at the back part of the phonebook. Here, there are a lot more bullet fragments, being that the bullet was a soft point and meant to expand and fragment to inflict as much damage as possible to its target.
The man eventually retrieved the bullet and showed how mangled it was. It also showed how large the bullet expanded as it went through all the four phonebooks. It also showed the power of the Marlin 30/30 as it fired the bullet out.
As it clearly shows the rifle and soft point bullet can do so much damage and deep penetration from about 20 yards away, perfect for hunting small prey that wanders close enough.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
